Supermodel Jessica White (born 1984) was scouted at age 16 from Buffalo, New York and soon found herself in Paris where she signed a contract with the IMG agency and pretty quickly landed campaigns with CoverGirl, Chloe and Gap.
Applause to one of Buffalo’s own and cheers to her Supermodel status and success. Well deserving I’m sure!!
Artist Fred Hart of Chicago created artwork, album covers inspired by song titles on Kanye’s latest album.

I had the pleasure of meeting artist Danny Simmons while on my short 36 hour trip through NYC. His studio is full of african artifacts and other artists works, as he is also a collector. To the (left) of Greg you can see a Romare Bearden.
Recognized as an artist first, many people will recognize Danny as brother of mogul Russell Simmons (Phat Pharm, Def Jam). Danny was very inspiring and actually a hilarious guy. I laughed the entire time I was there, although while showing us his work, he was very serious and passionate as an artist should be. If you watch Run’s House, you may notice him from this episode below.

After landing safely at JFK, I pleasantly traveled to Brooklyn to meet the appraiser/collector and art enthusiast Mark Dabney. We met at the famous Junior’s which was right around the corner from the Gallery/Lounge on Rockwell Place. I didn’t get a chance to try any of the Junior’s seafood or cheesecake, but it surely look Deelissh!!!
I had 4 pieces shipped to be in this show along with artists Bobby Hill (NYC) and Sole Sister (TX). The reception was cool and I actually sold a piece. So, as Ice Cube would say…”Today was a good day!”
I touched down in New York City last week Friday on the 13th, and I must admit that I wasn’t as poised as I would have normally been. That afternoon on my way to the airport, I received one too many calls wishing me a safe trip, but with the undertone of the Clarence Flight 3407 airplane tragedy. Getting those sorts of calls about an airplane crashing isn’t the best way to begin traveling. (My prayers to the families affected. Live life without fear for our days are not certain.)
I’m normally pretty cool on airplanes, although I prefer trains over planes and cars, but that afternoon was hot with the Clarence tragedy as the topic. While sitting ON the plane waiting to take off, I had to put my headphones on and blast my iPod as passenger after passenger casually chatted about the incident, WHILE ON THE PLANE!!!!…(wasnt’ a relaxing feeling)
Happy to have my feet back on the earth.
From thought and concept to execution and production, this video is truly profound. From old traditional puppet theater to full blown Rock concert with pyro and stage diving!!!
Thinking outside of the box!
Pondering on the genius of Grace Jones.
