In memory of the remarkable life and contributions of Lena Horne, today’s Grammy Chase acknowledges all of the actors, actresses and musicians that made the movie The Wiz an incredible delight for the silver screen. It’s been more than 30 years but the movie is STILL just as gripping, intense and inspirational. In doing a little digging as I have been for the past 130 other days, I discovered that The Wiz was granted a Grammy in 1978, and rightfully so. At the hands and talents of the renowned Quincy Jones and Robert (Bobby) Freedman, the movie was awarded Best Instrumental Arrangement. Below is a video that someone compiled of M. Jackson clips, bringing back great memories. Thanks whomever you are.
